David Rocker

Former Auburn Tiger great and NFL veteran, David Rocker joins GameDaySportsRadio as a weekly contributor to discuss college and professional football.

During his time at Auburn, Rocker was a vital part of the Tigers’ football program that won three SEC Championships (1987-89). He was selected as a Kodak All-American, two time All-SEC Selection and was a finalist for the Lombardi Trophy which recognizes the nation’s top collegiate lineman. Rocker was then selected in the fourth round of the 1990 NFL draft by the then Los Angeles Rams, where he played for four seasons.

To go along with his stellar playing career, Rocker also has extensive coaching and broadcast experience.

His coaching stops include two years at Banneker High School in 2008, where he served as interim head coach in 2009, and North Clayton High School in 2010. Under Rocker’s leadership, both Banneker and North Clayton clinched playoff berths. Rocker then served as an assistant coach at Point University and was named the Skyhawks’ head coach in November of 2012. He served in that capacity for two seasons. He is presently an assistant coach at Fayette County High School.

Rocker’s broadcast career began after the end of his playing career. He has hosted or co-hosted several shows over the years, and is a much sought after guest for sports talk shows as well as faith based shows, as David is an ordained minister and heads up Gibraltar Ministries. Most recently, in the fall of 2015, Rocker co-hosted a daily call-in show with Bogie Wood, “On the line with Rock and Bogie.”
