Florida slips by LSU 4-3 in game 1 of College World Series finals

Brady Singer went 7 innings and struck out 12 as Florida won 4-3 over LSU in Omaha at the opening game of the College World Series Finals on Monday. The Gators (51-18) need to win Tuesday night to claim their first CWS title. LSU (52-19) must win back-to-back games to claim their 8th CWS championship.

ESPN will televise game 2 is set at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Tuesday. Game 3, if necessary, would be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, also on ESPN.
